The Work Now Within Reach

In previous years, this was discussed a lot; now I feel like it's not talked about nearly as much. People claimed LLMs would never reach AGI, but we're getting closer and closer by the day. I wouldn't be surprised if it does reach AGI within the next 12-18 months. I know I'm going to get a lot of disagreement about what AGI is. I'm going by the OpenAI definition. For the uninformed, this is it: “(a) highly autonomous systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work.” I feel as if we're almost there, especially with the release of Astra. I wouldn't be surprised if Astra already can do a lot of what the average white-collar worker does.
